Autumn tidy-up

Autumn tidy-up

We were really lucky with the weather today – the air crisp and dry and the soil with an average level of moisture.   We tidied up the Longacres front garden and replaced some striped Phalaris grasses that had mysteriously reverted to green with some Nepeta racemosa Walker’s Low and Eryngium x zabelii Jos Eijking.  We also moved a young Rosa Felicia – one of my favourites – to a better position.  Spent mushroom compost was added to enrich the soil and now it’s all set for the spring!
